Nice roof top to relax, big shower and air con are appreciated.Awesome to have egg every morning included. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Situated in front of a small mexicain beach and the ferry to Isla Mujeres. The bus stop is just infront and really easy to get to downtown for 12 pesos in 15min. Recommand it.

The bed are not really confy, compare to our other hotels during our trip.

Good but no point of staying here as too far from the beach

The rooftop is amazing. The whole property got a chill vibe.

Eventhough it's very close to the sea, the hostel is actually further than the ones in downtown Cancun when it comes to going to the beach.

Unforgettable!

I loved my stay at the Mermaid Beach Hostel! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Oli, one of their staff volunteers, made my stay unforgettable. She went above and beyond in every way, from making delicious breakfasts every morning, to advice, guidance, and recommends. I will truly cherish the time I spent there and all the wonderful people I met!

The only critique I have is that the website advertised security lockers as being included, but they had no way to lock them (they don’t provide a lock or have them available). I ended up hiding my iPad under my mattress and then forgot about it when I left. Now I’m trying to figure out a way to get it shipped home.

I liked the location(beach 5min by walk), the R6 and R1 is...

I liked the location(beach 5min by walk), the R6 and R1 is coming close by so you can go to the hotel zone or ado bus station for 10pesos only. Room cleaned, big bathroom. The + is the rooftop when you can relax.

I thought the ferry was 5min walking but it was actually 15-20. That's still fine.

Everything was excellent.

Everything was excellent. I met the most wonderful people and had a super good time. Made new friends. The rooftop is outstanding and the views are breathtaking especially the night sky rise and sunsets. Restaurants, laundry service, ATM, convenient store all very close. Taxis are an abundance and very inexpensive. The staff was outstanding.

Quiet an safe

Safe. It's in a 24 hours security personnel compound. Quite and less people, not as busy as hotel zone and Zippy's Beach. And the relex terrace.

A bit difficult to pay with credit card because of the poor signal bit it's none of the business of the hostel.

The view was beautiful from the roof, where you can eat and relax. It is really close to the ferry station to ,,La isla mujeres,, , which has very beautiful beaches -it is a party island. The staff was extraordinary, I was really satisfied with them. The rooms have lockers, air-conditioners and separate bathroom.

From Dusk Till Down

Amazing place to stay! You will love having breakfast and spending the evening at the rooftop enjoying the beautiful sea view. The location is perfect and very safe. There is a small beach just next to the hostel and if you want to visit Isla Mujeres there is a ferry station just in 10 min walking distance. P.S.Thank you Jakub for being the best host, cook and buddy for parties! We will definitely come back.

Great stay, away from the tourist zone, walking distance to the Isla Mujeres terminal

Nice breakfast, nice view of the sunset from the roof top with swings, free parking in a gated community, very helpful staff :) Was nice hanging/talking with the people from the Hostel and staff

Paying online in our own currency would have had less surprises because of the extra tax rate we paid once we got there, but other than that we had a great stay.

I liked the roof top, the friendly workers, the chill vibe, and the location to the ferries for isla mujeres

I didn't like that breakfast was served at 9am that is waaaaay too late. I also didn't like that I booked a female dorm but a guy was in there.
